This pathfinder has been created to assist elementary teachers in developing, planning, and managing a peer reading program called Book Buddies. In Book Buddies, upper elementary students are paired with younger students in a reading strategy that builds reading confidence in all participants as well as build social relationships and a sense of community among the students.
With the assistance of this pathfinder teachers can find links to online resources, lesson ideas, and project ideas for teachers who are interested in coaching students for buddy reading and who may want to extend the buddy reading activity at their schools. This site will be updated periodically as resources are located.
